First: What job is actually on offer?
Time well spent at this stage will ensure you have a clear and concise picture as to what you really need for the role. The first step is to determine the "Key Accountabilities" of the job.

Theses ‘key accountabilities’ allow for you to then develop a Job Matching report to give further depth to the behaviours and attributes an individual needs to deliver this role well.
These reports are not lengthy and focus on 15-37 key areas to give you a concise report.
Second: How do I differentiate?
The job benchmarking will assist you to direct your questioning around the areas of ‘key accountabilities’ keeping you focused on your job and why you need these qualities in the interview stage.
However this alone could still allow for you giving the job to the candidate that is prepared and gives text book answers. What is really needed is an unbiased insight into the candidate's Values (what truly motivates them), Behaviours (how they will behave), and Attributes (the attributes they can bring to the organisation)
Online personality assessment profiles allow these values to be reviewed against your job and give you further supporting documentation to make a more informed decision.
