Test and Tag

UEENEEPO26A Conduct in-service safety testing of electrical cord connected equipment and cord assemblies

Prerequisite: UEENEEE101A Apply Occupational Health & Safety regulations, codes and practices in the workplace.

Participants will need to complete the required OH&S workbook before the workshop date, if they have not successfully completed any previous nationally recognised OH&S training.

One Day (6 hour) course: 9am start to 4pm finish approximately (Please report to Reception by 8.45pm)

Location: Marcellin Campus on the corner of Beach and Mander Roads, Christie Downs, entry via Mander Road

This course covers testing of electrical cord assemblies and cord connected equipment. It encompasses working safely, using portable apparatus tester, identifying faults, applying tagging, arranging for repair of faulty equipment and complete testing documentation. It will also cover any compulsory gap training in occupational health and safety unit not covered in previous training in OH&S undertaken by the participants.

It is an essential qualification for those wishing to supply test and tag.

You can bring your own PA Tester if you have access to one, but it is not compulsory for the workshop.

If you would like to purchase a PA Tester, we currently have a discounted offer through a local supplier (subject to availability) which may be of interest. Either contact us beforehand or speak to the trainer on the day for further information.

You will need to bring one form of photographic identification, i.e. driver's licence, passport or student ID card, which we will photocopy and return to you on the day, to fulfil our audit requirements with the State Government.

Marcellin Campus does not have a canteen on site. Lunch facilities are within walking distance. Light refreshments are available for breaks during the training.

Below is an Enrolment Form, which needs to be completed by each participant. As this is a formal qualification, we are required as a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) to submit certain data to the State Government's qualification database. You will need to provide your USI number on the form.  If you do not have a USI number, please refer to the Fact Sheet on the USI for the procedure.  The form also includes payment details. Please ensure you take note of the terms and conditions. We endeavour to issue the Statement of Attainment and wallet card on the day of completion. On the Statement of Attainment and card will be a parchment number, that you can then use as your licence number.
